Slab granite or marble may be used in the bathroom anywhere from just a countertop to the whole room. You will notice in the first 4 photos below that 2cm Ermosa marble slab was used for the floors, walls, shower walls, tub deck, and even the planters. The next 6 photos depict a bathroom done with a mix of 2cm & 3cm White Carrara marble slab as well as 3x6 White Carrara marble tiles. You can see how the shelves and shampoo box integrate nicely in the shower. These additonal pieces can make a nice accent to your tile and co-ordinate with your countertop.
A trend (that was quite popular for a while) was to use antique furniture pieces for bathroom vanities. This of course usually requires the elimination of the top 1-2 drawers (due to sink depth and plumbing) depending on the type of sink used as well as the style of furniture piece used.
